HOW TO DISINFECT EYEGLASSES AT OUTBREAK OF COVID-19

Your Glasses and Covid-19. A Special note to know about everything related to Optic eyewear.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unclean hands—before putting on or putting off your eyeglasses, constantly wash your hands.

Even though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) agree that COVID-19 spreads primarily through individual-to-person contact, they maintain that exposure may also be possible through interaction with a contaminated surface.

As COVID19 can survive quite so many as several days on several hard surfaces, it can impact the infected surface and probably expose you to the virus by touching your face afterwards. Persons wearing reading glasses can be more vulnerable to exposure from simply putting on and repeatedly removing their readers over the course of a day. But any wearer of eyeglasses or sunglasses during the COVID-19 pandemic should make every effort to thoroughly clean their eyewear.

Below are tips to keep your eyewear clean and answers to frequently asked questions about cleaning and disinfecting your glasses properly.

1.   How to Clean up Your Frames

Using moist, soapy water to remove dirt and bacteria and a gentle cloth to dry while cleaning your eyeglass lenses.  To clean grime and oil from the pads and hinges of your nose, a soft toothbrush can be used.  Do not contact the lenses with bristles of toothbrush and dry the lenses using a microfiber cloth.  Be patient in eliminating difficulties, germs and oils from your skin, including the region where the lenses meet the frames, by purification of every part of your frames.

2. How to Clean Your Lenses

Do not use ammonia cleaners when washing your lenses. Your lenses are porous in many different ways and vulnerable to ammonia and other chemicals found in most home-made cleaners.

  • I: -Wash your hands properly with water and soap. Gray or dull fingers isn't just unsanitary but makes it harder to clean your glasses. Dirt will damage the fragile lenses on your fingers as well.
  • II: -The most effective way to clean your lens is by using warm water and mild soap, without any lotional chemicals such as liquid cleaning. Clean your fingers and wash the lenses gently. Using a fluffy towel to gently dry the lens under cool water .
  • III: -Instead, use the lens-specific cleaner on both sides of your lenses. Using a microfiber cloth, clean the pulp gently and use a dry part of the pulp to rinse it. A fabric without a hydrator is a reasonable choice if you don't have a microfiber cloth to purify your lenses. You can also purchase moistened prepackaged wipes specifically made for glass lenses.
  • IV: -Should not use blankets, dressings , a shirttail or other fabric for drying them to prevent damaging your eyes.

3. How to use Proper Sanitation

When you have ignored your glasses for a while or simply acquired a lot of grime from years of use, if your glasses are still in good condition, you might ask about a professional cleaning. Lenses that don't have many imperfections and frames that hold their form well are good candidates for professional cleaning. New nose pads and a little change will again make those old glasses look like new.

4. How to deal with your eyeglasses

Maintain them with the help of the frames when handling your glasses and using should hand-prevent shedding them on the lenses. Locate them upside down with the bridge at the bottom as you place your glasses. It avoids broken lenses, and helps to remove extra heavy frames.

5. A way to store your glasses

In their case, always place your glasses to prevent them from being dirty or getting water spilled on them. Be cautious to leave them, for example, in areas that get too hot—near a stove, fireplace, or in a hot car. Temperature will warp or cause the lenses to peel.
